This page will explain you how to upgrade a registered copy of any DUY TDM or RTAS product in order to obtain compatibility with OSX systems.
Upgrade policy and pricing
- Users who registered any DUY TDM product (HD compatible) after 10 September 2002 are entitled to obtain a free upgrade, which can be downloaded via the web. If they would like an upgrade CD-ROM to be shipped, there is a small charge for the shipping costs. Please email DUY if you'd like a copy shipped and you'll receive instructions on how to do this.
- Users who registered an upgrade to HD after 10 September 2002 are also entitled to obtain a free upgrade, in the same conditions as explained in the point above.
- Users who registered any DUY TDM product compatible with ProTools HD on or before 10 September 2002 can obtain a reduced-price upgrade. The prices for these users are: 125 EUR to upgrade DSPider, ReDSPider or SynthSpider, 175 EUR to upgrade Global Bundle and 150 EUR to upgrade Analog Bundle.
- Users who registered any upgrade to HD on or before 10 September 2002 can also obtain a reduced-price upgrade. These upgrade prices are the same as listed above.

Features of the new versions
TDM Plug-ins
As well as adding OSX compatibility, and therefore the ability to use the software with Digidesign's new ProTools 6 software, the new versions of the TDM plug-ins include the following features:
- DUY's DaD Tape and DaD Valve plug-ins for TDM have improved the optimisation of DSP chip allocation, allowing a greater number of insertions per chip than in the previous version. These new versions are included in DUY Global TDM Bundle and in DUY Analog TDM Bundle.
- All TDM products support iLok authorization via iLok.com, enabling users to have the desired portability for their software authorizations.
- Every TDM plug-in now counts with a useful Edition Bar for the edition and handling of plug-in settings.
- OS9 and OSX supported with the same authorization.
The supported plug-ins are: DUY DaD Tape, DUY DaD Valve, DUY ReDSPider, DUY Wide, DUY DSPider, DUY SynthSpider, DUY Shape and Max DUY, in the form of the following products: DUY Global Bundle, DUY Analog Bundle, DUY ReDSPider, DUY DSPider and DUY SynthSpider.
RTAS Plug-ins
DUY's RTAS software package, DUY EverPack RTAS, formed by DUY's Valve, Shape, Wide, Max and Z-Room plug-ins, counts with the following new features:
- OSX and OS9 supported.
- Support for Digidesign's Digi002 control surface.
- Sampling rates up to 96 KHz supported.
- All RTAS plug-ins now include a useful Edition Bar for the handling of plug-in settings.
Authorization procedure
In order to authorize version 3.0 of the DUY plug-ins for TDM (2.0 for SynthSpider), DUY now supports PACE's iLok USB key, authorizing via iLok.com. In order to authorize, users will have to register at DUY's website and clearly indicate their iLok.com account username in one of the fields, along with one of their iLok serial numbers. Shortly after, DUY will deposit an "asset" (authorization) to the user's iLok.com account, which the user will then be able to pick up and transfer from the account onto the iLok.
Please note that DUY EverPack RTAS 2.0 for OSX will continue to use Challenge/Response for authorization.
I'm a registered user. How can I upgrade right now?
You can upgrade immediately if you have one of DUY's "new-generation" serial numbers. Our online system allows you to enter your serial number, which will automatically detect the type of upgrade you're entitled to. The serial number should have the following structure: "XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX", and it can be found in the registration card of any HD-compatible TDM software. If you purchased an upgrade via online download, you will find it on one of the emails we sent you. If your serial number has another structure, our database will not have included it for online checkup. Upgrade Pricing for users who don't have an HD-compatible version
For users who still don't have HD compatibility, the prices to upgrade are listed below. If you registered an HD-compatible version before 10 September 2002, the upgrade prices are 99 EUR for SynthSpider, ReDSPider or DSPider, 150 EUR for Global Bundle and 125 EUR for Analog Bundle. Remember you may be elegible for a free upgrade depending on the date of registration of your product.
IMPORTANT!: This new pricing includes ProTools|HD Accel compatibility.
