How does DUY Silence work?
DUY Silence is a noise reduction system. It analyses the audio contents in the frequency domain, by capturing or generating noise for analysing, visualization, edition, comparison with the original signal, isolation and rejection, using an automatic gating system, which can also be configured manually.
As a tradition, DUY couldn't create a "simple and normal" noise reduction plug-in: DUY Silence allows you to interact with every element present in the system: from the edition of over 1000 noise gates's level gain, to the control over the dynamic behaviour of each one of these gates, individually.

DUY Silence must collect as much information as possible in order to understand the nature of the noise to be removed. To capture the noise sample, click on the “Learn” button, which can be switched on or off at any time by clicking on it again.
The possibilities of DUY Silence are, therefore, extraordinary. At the same time, however, it's also possible to obtain a great performance on most materials with just a few clicks.
We have divided the interface into 2 sections which can be used complementarily or not, depending on the degree of control you want to achieve:
In "Basic" mode you can play through your noise sample and remove it from your track within seconds. This is an amazing utility, useful for removing the most usual types of noise you can come across in any studio.
An "Expert" mode lets you have total control over the hundreds of noise gates created frequencially and actually draw over your noise curve.
