1) DUY Z-Room reverb becomes a FREE plug-in

We have decided to make our Z-Room reverb plug-in available for free. If you would like to install DUY Z-Room on your system, simply fill in the form and that's it! How does that sound? ;)

2) Individual native and TDM products

Many users have asked us to offer certain plug-ins individually. This is something we could only offer for certain TDM products until now. As from July 19, any of our products can be purchased individually.

Additionally, all TDM products purchased will automatically include the native versions as well (when available). This means that TDM plug-ins will be paired with their RTAS, VST, MAS and Audio Units versions for Mac, or their RTAS versions for Windows 7.

3) Native versions for TDM users

All our TDM products will now include the native versions as well (if they're available, of course!), as well as the Venue versions. Up until today, users who purchased DUY's TDM plug-ins had to fully pay the native versions. This was unfair to our users, but it was exclusively due to a historical setup of our ilok.com licenses, which wasn't at all practical. We are now in the position to offer a much better solution, tied to the fact that we now offer individual licenses, allowing you to choose which Native versions you want.

In order to be able to provide this extra feature we must re-adjust your current iLok licenses via ilok.com.

Many users are entitled to receive a totally free upgrade.

• Users who purchased their TDM software on or after 15 July 2009: You are entitled to a totally free upgrade in order to include the Native versions as well as your TDM versions. You will be contacted by DUY on July 19 with instructions on how to request this feature.
  
  
• Users who purchased their TDM software on or before 14 July 2009: We need to re-adjust your current license scheme through ilok.com. This is not a free service for us. Some of you had requested the native versions as well as the TDM versions. As you know, we provide the RTAS, VST, MAS and AU versions of our native software. If you'd like to take advantage of adding the native versions to your current TDM versions, we have prepared a pricing that will literally just cover our costs for placing your ilok.com licenses and administer the whole process. Use the table below to calculate the cost of this upgrade that will give you the native versions. Note that each "license" is treated as an individual product. For example: Analog Bundle is currently one license, but it includes 2 plug-ins, and therefor you must count 2 licenses from now. This is the pricing:
  
  • 1 or 2 licenses: $40 or 30 Euro (each).
  • 3 or 4 licenses: $30 or 25 Euro (each).
  • 5 or 6 licenses: $25 or 20 Euro (each).
  • more than 7 licenses: $20 or 15 Euro (each).

4) Windows 7 versions out now

We are very pleased to announce that Windows 7- compatible versions of our software are ready. For most products and in most cases, this is a free upgrade. For others, due to the re-estructuring of licenses (as explained above) for other products, we will charge for the upgrade (read further down). Shipping July 19.

These new versions have been tested for 32-bit systems and are pending compatibility tests for 64-bit systems. We recommend downloading the demos for previous trial in case of using a 64-bit Win7, though you should have no problem at all.

• Free upgrades:*
  - NATIVE PRODUCTS: MagicEQ, Magic Spectrum, DaD Tape native.
  - TDM PRODUCTS: MagicEQ TDM, Magic Spectrum PRO, ReDSPider, DSPider & SynthSpider.
  - Free upgrades too for any products purchased on or after 15 July 2009.
  - Users of the PRO version of Global Bundle will not have to pay extra for including EverPack.
  * Please note that users eligible for free updates will be contacted by email on 19 July with instructions on how to obtain the new versions of the software.
  
  
• Other cases:
  - NATIVE USERS: EverPack requires a paid upgrade if purchased before 15 July 2009. This upgrade can be purchased as from 19 July 2010 through our website or selected stores. The price of the upgrade is $49 or 39 Euro.
  - TDM USERS: We need to re-adjust your current license scheme through ilok.com. If you purchased the software before 15 July 2009, the licenses for DaD Tape TDM, DaD Valve TDM, DUY Shape TDM, DUY Wide TDM, and/or Max DUY TDM will have to be upgraded to the new ones. This will enable you to use the software on Windows 7, and will also additionally deliver you the native versions of all those plug-ins, plus the Digidesign Venue versions as well. You can find the pricing for upgrading below. As an example, users of the conventional Global Bundle (includes Valve, Shape, Wide, Max, ReDSPider and Tape), would have to upgrade 5 of those 6 licenses, and would get the new Win7 TDM and Venue versions of those 6 plug-ins, plus the native versions of all the available versions (all but ReDSPider have native versions). If you have Analog Bundle, the same is applicable, and since it's 2 licenses you have to upgrade, the cost would be 30 x 2 = 60 Euro in total.
  
  • 1 or 2 licenses: $40 or 30 Euro (each).
  • 3 or 4 licenses: $30 or 25 Euro (each).
  • 5 or 6 licenses: $25 or 20 Euro (each).
  • more than 7 licenses: $20 or 15 Euro (each).

5) New plug-ins for Windows 7

6) Digidesign Venue versions of DUY software now available!

We are very excited about the availability of our plug-ins for Digidesign's Venue systems. Users who purchase TDM products as from today will automatically have access to these versions. Users who purchased the software before 15 July 2009 will have to go through the upgrade process detailed in point #4 of this page. Users who purchased the software on or after 15 July 2009 will be eligible for a free upgrade.

7) DUY supports Zero Downtime on iLok licenses delivered via ilok.com

As from today, all DUY plug-ins support ilok.com's Zero Downtime scheme. All plug-ins authorized via ilok.com before today also support Zero Downtime, except for 2 specific licenses issued in the past, and which don't affect more than a handful of users. DUY will contact these users to inform them.

8) Manuals and presets available for free download from DUY's website

9) New Demo versions available July 20

All our demos for Mac and Windows will be updated on July 20th with the very latest versions, especially for Windows TDM and RTAS. Please re-visit our website then in order to download them.
